- Humour: Fics that are intended to be funny.
- Drabble: Fics that are exactly 100 words (not counting the title). A fic nominated here cannot be in any other category.
- Future Fics: Fics that take place one or more years in the future.
- Codas: Stories based off a specific episode (Post-Cyberwoman, Post-Countrycide, etc...)
- Hurt/Comfort: Fic where a character is physically/emotionally/mentally hurt and there is resolution.
- Tie in Novels: Fics based specifically on the books and audio books.
- Classics: Stories must be over 2 years old.
- Femslash: Female/Female pairings
- Het: Male/Female pairings.
- Slash:Male/Male pairings
- Crossover:Fic that includes characters from outside the Who-verse. These cannot be crossovers with Doctor Who or The Sarah Jane Adventures.
- Character Category:PC Andy.
- Fluff:Fics that are intended to be feel-good in it's nature.
Threesomes or More: Fics that involve a pairing with three characters or more- Rare Pairings:Fics not about Jack/Ianto, Gwen/Rhys, Jack/Gwen.
- Kink:Fics that are intended to be kinky. Examples of Kink: S/M, dirty-talk, etc..
- Angst: Fics that are intended to be angsty.
